The Sun and The Pigs

It was a great day today! Jonathan had the day off so we took a (looooong) walk down to the ocean and through the park. We are trying to accustom Frida to the idea of the stroller and carseat. She mostly tolerated it, but only when she was sleeping.

There were a lot of stops for nursing to sleep so we could keep going. She is getting so delightfully fat but it’s starting to mean I can’t really nurse and walk at the same time anymore for long. My arms just feel like they’re going to fall off.

It was completely beautiful down by the water. I actually got a bit sunburned.

Beautiful!

The camas was in bloom.

We stopped at the petting zoo. No piglets yet, sadly.

I had a whole new appreciation for the waddling, huge pregnant goats. Being petted constantly! ack! There were some tiny kids which had just been born the day before.

…and adorable Jacob lambs whose fleece I lusted after.

I was SO tired by the time we got home. And we had a salmon dinner!

So I just wanted to save some pictures, since often it feels like we’re just stressing out all the time and never doing anything fun.

more later.

  1. Looks like it was a great walk. Frida is going to love the petting zoo when she’s a bit older. You will probably spend quite a bit of time there over the next few years!
